On 21st February 2021, Daniel Bryan was booked in an elimination chamber match with Cesaro, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, King Corbin and Sami Zayn. The price of winning this elimination chamber match was an immediate championship match with the universal champion Roman Reigns. The elimination chamber match went for almost 35 minutes and in the end, Daniel Bryan came victorious after pinning Jey Uso.
Soon after the Elimination Chamber match, Universal champion Roman Reigns enters the rings and the next match starts for the universal championship. Daniel Bryan showed the sign of life and suddenly grabbed Roman into his submission move ‘Yes Lock’. But Roman power out and put Daniel into his own submission move Guillotine which made Daniel Bryan pass out and Roman won by technical submission.
This match was also the shortest Universal championship match of 2021. And the Second Shortest Universal Championship match after Goldberg vs. Kevin Owens at Fastlane in 2017 which lasted for 22 seconds.

Karrion Kross had recently debuted on WWE’s main roster. WWE doesn’t have the idea what to do with the two times NXT champion Karrion Kross. On 27th September 2021 at Raw Karrion Cross was booked in a match with Jaxson Ryker. Being both heels at that time, the live audience showed no response for the match. Karrion Kross won by tap-out submission after applying his kross jacket submission move.

Shayna Baszler vs. Dana Brooke – 1 minute 22 seconds

During the tournament of Queen’s crown, Shayna Baszler and Dana Brook were booked in a match for the first round of the tournament. On 11th October 2021 on Raw both the divas faced each other to advance for the next round. Baszler took an easy victory over Dana Brooke by hitting the knee on Dana’s face and taking a pinfall victory.

Big E vs. Bobby Lashley – 1 minute 15 seconds

On 13th September 2021 at Raw, Bobby Lashley defeated Randy Orton and retained his WWE championship title. As soon as the match ended Big E came and cashed in his money in the bank contract briefcase. Bobby Lashey being tired and injured from the previous match still showed a good battle. Lashley even delivered a spear on Big E but that was good only for two counts. Soon Big E saw an opportunity and delivered a Big ending on Lashley and took a pinfall victory.

The next shortest matches of WWE in 2021 is Jeff Hardy vs. Karrion Kross. On 16th August 2021 at Raw Jeff Hardy was booked in a match against Karrion Kross. Just before the match starts Karrion Kross attacked Jeff backstage. Being suffering from the backstage attack, Jeff was not hundred percent on the match. Jeff lost the match to Karrion Kross by submitting on the Kross Jackets submission move.

Natalya vs. Shayna Baszler – 35 seconds

It is great to see WWE is coming with lots of ideas with the diva’s division also. On 2nd April 2021, Natalya and Shayna were booked in a match at Smackdown. Both were battling toe-to-toe. While Baszler was performing a roll-over pinfall on Natalya, she reversed the roll-over and took a pinfall victory over Shayna Baszler.

The Miz vs. Drew McIntyre – 28 seconds

It’s the second Money in the Bank cash-ins on the list of shortest matches of WWE in 2021. On 21st February 2021 at Elimination chamber pay-per-view WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was booked in a match with Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus and AJ Styles. After pinning AJ Styles, Drew retains his WWE championship.
During his celebrations, Bobby Lashley brutally attacked McIntyre and left him scattered inside the ring. Then The Miz came with his money in the bank briefcase to collect the scattered pieces of McIntyre. Miz cashed in his contract and as the match started, The Miz took a pinfall victory by delivering a skull-crushing finale on McIntyre.
By pinning Drew McIntyre, The Miz became the second time WWE Champion. The interesting fact is that both times he won the championship by cashing in the money in the bank contract.

Due to the involvement of Bobby Lashley for The Miz’s Championship win at Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Miz agreed to give Lashley a championship opportunity. On 1st March 2021, The Miz and Bobby Lashley were battling for the WWE championship title. As soon the bell rang Miz got out of the ring and intentionally got himself counted out. Though Lashley won the match, the title remained with The Miz.

On 21st August 2021at SummerSlam pay-per-view Bianca Belair was booked in a match to defend her Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks. Due to her injury Banks was unable to compete in a match and Carmella was the replacement for her. Before the match could even get started Becky Lynch made her return after her maternity leave and attacked Carmella. Then Becky challenged Bianca for the championship match which she accepted. As the bell rang Becky grabbed Bianca with her forearm and delivered a manhandle Slam and took a pinfall victory.

Charlotte Flair after retaining her Raw women’s championship against Rhea Ripley on 19th July 2021 on Raw got again physical with Rhea Ripley. Both were exchanging blows outside the ring and Rhea got the upper hand and she delivered Riptide.
Seeing the opportunity Nikki ASH made an entrance with her money in the bank contract and cashed it in. As Charlotte got her feet, Nikk delivered a cross body from the top rope corner and took a pinfall victory to become the Raw women’s champion.
