WWE Backlash or now known as Wrestlemania Backlash since 2021 is a WWE pay-per-view that took place on 8th May 2022 in Providence, US inside Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Both Raw and Smackdown brands superstars came to compete in this show. Here in WWE wrestlemania backlash 2022 highlights and results there were six matches scheduled for the event out of which only one match had a championship title on the line.
Cody Rhodes vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins
Seth after the loss at Wrestlemania 38 by the hands of Cody Rhodes, this time he came prepared. It was interesting to know can Seth afford one more loss to increase the level of Cody. The match delivered more than expected. As the match headed toward the end the intensity of the match kept on increasing.
The quality of the match was phenomenal. It was eye soothing to see how smooth Cody is executing the cutter and Seth performing the falcon arrow. In the end, Seth tries to take a rollover three-count victory by holding the tights but Cody Rhodes manages to reverse the move and grabbed Seth’s tight a took a rollover pinfall victory.
This was the smart way by WWE to finish the match. Seth didn’t seem weak and Cody also again took a victory.

Bobby Lashley vs. Omos (with MVP)
Fans already had seen these both colliding and Bobby Lashley taking the victory at Wrestlemania 38. But this time there was a difference-maker named MVP. Both the superstars showed the immense power they possess.
There was a moment when Omos’ hands got stuck on the ropes which definitely reminds us all of the great Khali. During the closing moments when Bobby tries to hit Omos with a spear but Omos kicked Lashley into the face and throws Lashley shoulder-first into the ring post. As the referee was dealing with Omos MVP took the advantage and hits Bobby’s neck with his cane and the Omos delivered a double-handed chokeslam and took a pinfall victory.
Winner : Omos
Edge vs. AJ Styles
Next on the WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 highlights and results is a classic match Edge versus Styles. Both the superstars were fighting only to win. The added stipulation Damien Priest was banned from ringside made the match more interesting.
During the match, however, Damien Priest took his entrance but didn’t come near the ring. As Damien was creating a distraction from distance Finn Balor attacked him from behind and both entered the ring fighting. As the referee was busy dealing with Damien and Finn a mystery person in a Black dress with face covered pulled AJ Styles from the top rope. Edge wasting no time holds AJ in crossface submission hold in which AJ to passed out and Edge took a victory via TKO.
Later Mystery person bends one knee in front of Edge and Edge commands the mystery person to reveal the identity. Then the masked person took off the hoodie from the head and relieved herself to be Rhea Ripley. Now Rhea Ripley also joined Edge’s faction.

Charlotte Flair (C) vs. Ronda Rousey – “I Quit” match( WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship)
The only Championship match of the event. Both the divas wanted no time and started attacking each other as they just wanted to hurt other. There was no place both these divas didn’t visit during the match. Bringing Nintendo stick from the backstage, brawling over the ringside, barricade and among the crowds, smashing the opponent on the table, apron and steel steps. But none of the divas were willing to say “I quit”.
During the closing moment when Charlotte was holding the chair in front of Ronda and teased her saying happy mother’s day. Then suddenly Ronda grabbed Charlotte’s hand through between the chairs and put her armbar using the same chair and Charlotte had no choice than saying “I quit”.
It is believed that Charlotte Flair had to take a time off from WWE for her marriage with former WWE superstar Andrade. This is the reason Charlotte had to face a loss in this match for the title change.

Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss
Happy Corbin is one of the toughest opponents to be with inside the ring. Both the men were going toe to toe with each other. The facial expression and reactions of Happy Corbin were the attention seeker for the audience in the match. In the end, Madcap Moss hit a sunset flip and then took a rollover pinfall victory.

The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso)) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle)
After a long time, such a phenomenal 6 man tag team action was seen in the main event. Riddle and Jimmy started the things. There was a small comedy segment also when Drew McIntyre gets the tag and he was calling for Roman. The bloodline head acted as if he was trying to get in but Paul continuously screamed that he is the tribal chief and he didn’t need to get inside the ring but Roman tagged himself in and suddenly tagged himself out also with Jey.
The match had too many breath-stopping moments. RKO from nowhere on Roman while he was about to deliver a superman punch from behind and Claymore kick on Roman by Drew McIntyre. In the closing moment, Roman delivered a Superman punch on Orton outside the ring and performed uranage on McIntyre smashing the announce table. Meanwhile, Riddle and Jey were the legal superstars inside the ring. As Riddle was performing an RKO on Jey from the top rope Roman suddenly took the tag which Riddle didn’t notice. When Riddle stood up after delivering RKO, Roman hits a spear on Riddle and took a pinfall victory for his team.
