WWE pay-per-view Extreme Rules 2021 took place on 26th September 2021 at Columbus, Ohio inside Nationwide Arena. Why WWE planned such an ending
To save Demon Balor Character
The Demon King Finn Balor Character was undefeated in WWE main Roster till Extreme Rules 2021. Direct loss by the hands of the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns would downgrade the Demon gimmick and would have made it weaker. To save Demon’s character and to keep the title belt with Roman Reigns WWE came up with this idea and Broke the winning streak of Demon Balor due to the fault of ring ropes.
Demon Balor First loss in WWE
Some might think at Extreme Rules 2021 was the first-ever loss of Demon Balor in WWE but this is not all true. The first-ever loss Demon Finn Balor faced was on 9th June 2016 at NXT Takeover where Samoa Joe pinned Demon Finn Balor inside a Steel Cage match to retain his NXT championship belt.

At Extreme Rules 2021 Demon Finn Balor lost the second time in WWE by the hand of Roman Reigns. However, when it comes to the main WWE rosters, in the main roster The Demon King Finn Balor was undefeated till Extreme Rules 2021 and lost the first time.

The Real Reason for Rope Break
There are many theories and speculations on how rope broke at extreme rules 2021 when Demon Finn Balor was about to connect ‘Coup de grace’ from the top rope. Some say Paul Heyman cuts the Rope while some say the cameraman cuts the Rope.

According to WWE, when all men were laying down on the floor, the Demon Heart Beat sound could be heard which awakened the Demon King Finn Balor’s inner Power. He regained all his strength and as he was about to execute his finishing move Coup de Grace from the top rope, the ring ropes could not handle the immense power of the Demon King and the top rope collapsed and broke out and Demon Balor got distracted.
The Real Angle
Allow us to tell you how rope breaks at extreme rules 2021. The truth is no one cut the rope, the rope was loosened before the match was about to start. WWE technicians used to reassemble and repair the ring after every match. One fan from the crowd noticed that instead of tightening, technicians were loosening the top rope and the fan tweeted this scenario even before the match was being started.
This tweet made it very clear that the ring ropes were definitely tempered before the match. Now theories are also raised that someone cut the rope but this is all false as in the videos and snaps were taken by the fans from the crowd it can be clearly seen that no one else was near the rope when Demon Finn Balor was on the top rope. No cameraman and not even Paul Heyman.
If the video is watched carefully the Demon Balor could be seen adjusting his weight on the top rope and also putting some jerks to make the rope break. WWE even used red light and smoke so that all this efforts could not be seen in the camera but the live audience noticed it very clearly. This was all well planned and would have been practiced many times to execute perfectly.
