The Royal Rumble 2023 pay per view took place on 28th January 2023 at San Antonio, Texas inside Alamodome stadium. The venue was packed with 51338 fans. WWE Royal Rumble 2023 results
30-man Royal Rumble match – Men’s Royal Rumble match
Gunther and Sheamus started the show with some hardcore action. There were some funny elements like The New Day’s reverse butt slapping for the ‘new day rocks’ chant. Brock Lensar entered at number 12 and flooded the ring with super plexes before being eliminated by Bobby Lashley who entered at number 13.
The hall of Famer Booker T shows up at number 21 and gets eliminated by Gunther. The live audience’s reaction was huge when they saw Edge coming at number 24, and Logan Paul at Number 29. The best wow moment from the match was the collision between Ricochet and Logan Paul in mid-air jumping from the top ring of opposite sides.
Cody Rodes entered at number 30 and won the men’s Royal Rumble match eliminating Gunther who entered at number 1. This was the first time in Royal Rumble history that the number 1 and 30th entrances were the two last men competing at last for winning the match.

Mountain Dew Pitch Black match – Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight
This was the second match of the event. It was a no-disqualification match with some neon elements. The neon element includes LA Knight’s clothes, Bray Wyatt’s makeup, the ringside ropes, and weapons like kendo stick they all were glowing in the low light.
In the end, Bray Wyatt took the pin-fall victory delivering Sister Abigail to LA Knight. After that Bray Wyatt put on a face mask and started chasing LA Knight. Uncle Howdy attacked LA Knight jumping on him from the top near the entrance area.

WWE Raw Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss
The match was smooth with good wrestling. In the end, Alexa Bliss tries to attempt Sister Abigail but Bianca Belair counters and hits her finisher KOD and takes a pinfall victory. After the match, some cryptic footage related to Uncle Howdy also played on the screen.

30-woman Royal Rumble match
The women’s Royal Rumble match was equally entertaining as the men’s. Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan started the match. Asuka returned with her evil character at number 17, and Michelle McCool showed up at number 25. Nia Jax returned and entered at number 30 which stunned all the divas.
Rhea Ripley who entered at number 1 and Liv Morgan at number 2, were the two last superstars inside the ring. Rhea Ripley won the match flipping Liv Morgan and becoming the first 30-woman Royal Rumble match winner who started in the first position.

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship – Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Kevin Owens
This was the main event of the Royal Rumble 2023 event. The match started with a slow pace but as the match continued pace picked up. In the match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owen, the main focusing part was the interaction between Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. During the match, Roman asked for the steel chair from Sami Zayn but Zayn delayed in passing the chair because of which Owens hit a stunner on Roman and almost had a near pinfall.
During the match Owens while trying to stun Roman but Roman pushed him away and Owens strikes the referee knocking him out for a while. Roman took full advantage of no referee situation. Roman hits a spear to Owens into the barricade while he is distracted by Sami Zayn. Then Roman hits hard Owens’s back head into the steel step. Roman took a pinfall victory after delivering a spear on Owens.
After the match Roman ordered fellow Bloodline members to give a beatdown to Owens.
Jimmy & Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa added some more damage to Owens and then handcuffed him with both hands to the ropes. Then Roman Reigns was about to take a shot on Kevin Owens with a steel chair but Sami Zayn stopped him saying that enough damage has been done no need to do more.
Then Roman handed the chair to Sami Zayn and ordered him to hit Owens with the steel chair but Sami hesitated. Roman keeps on pushing Sami to hit a shot at Owen but then Sami hits the chair on Roman’s back. Then Jimmy & Jey and Solo Sikoa punish Sami for betraying the Tribal chief and all the bloodline left the ring leaving Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn out cold inside the ring.
