WWE Extreme Rules took place on 8th October 2022 Saturday night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania inside the Wells Fargo Center arena.  It was the 14th Extreme Rules pay-per-view held by WWE. The event was packed with Six great matches and fans wanted to know in detail about the WWE extreme rules 2022 matches and results with all the extreme rules 2022 highlights.  There was a rumor of possible returns of The beast Brock Lesnar that was expected for the event. There was also a surprise element at the end of the night.

The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch) vs. Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci) – Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match

The event started with a six-man tag team match, the match was brutal. All the superstars showed tremendous performance pushing their limits. Imperium dominated the early phase of the match but later things came toe to toe. 

Sheamus almost pinned Gunther by hitting 10 Beats of the Bodhran and then connecting with the Brogue Kick but Vinci broke the 3 counts and saved the match. In the ending moments, Sheamus took Gunther out by hitting him Celtic cross on the announcer’s table. Now Vinci was alone and outnumbered by all three members of the Brawling Brutes. Sheamus hits a Brogue kick to Vinci and takes a pin-fall victory for his team.

Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey – Extreme Rules match

Liv Morgan was planning a third victory over Ronda Rousey and tried everything to retain her Smackdown women’s championship.  But Ronda seems to come prepared for a hardcore fight. Morgan hit her best shot Code Red using the steel chair but that wasn’t enough to put down Ronda for a three count.

At last, while Liv tried to take a pinfall victory, Ronda grabbed Liv into a cross-armbar. Liv even power-bombed Ronda on the broken table but Ronda changed her grapple into a biceps crusher and Liv Morgan passed out. Ronda Rousey became the new Smackdown women’s champion via Technical submission.

Winner : Ronda Rousey

Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) vs. Drew McIntyre – Strap match

Both these superstars collided for the first time in a match apart from the 12ft leather strap.  Kross dominated most of the match due to the distraction created by Scarlett. 

Somehow Drew gained momentum in the match and was about to deliver a claymore kick. But Scarlett came in between and sprinkled pepper spray into McIntyre’s eyes. Kross then hits blinded McIntyre with a Kross hammer and took a pinfall victory.

Winner : Karrion Kross

Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley – Ladder match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship

 This was the first ever one on one women’s division ladder match in WWE history. Both superstars had a heated rivalry and wanted to tear apart each other. Belair after hitting KOD had almost grabbed the title but Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky attacked her.

During the closing moment, the EST delivered a double KOD to Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky. Then Belair used a broken ladder to hit KOD to Bayley and grabbed the title of climbing the ladder.

Winner : Bianca Belair

Edge vs Finn Balor – “I Quit” match

Edge and Finn started the match without any faction ringside. But there was a moment where Edge caught Balor and almost made him ready to say I Quit. Thankfully Judgment day came to aid Finn Balor. And in retaliation Rey Mysterio and Beth Phoenix.

During the closing moment, Rhea Ripley hits a brass knuckle shot on Beth Phoenix. Edge was held tight by the rest of the Judgment day members and Rhea was about to hit a chair shot on our cold Beth. To stop this Edge had said I quit and lost the match. But Rhea didn’t stop there and hit a chair shot on the back of the head of Beth Phoenix.

Winner : Finn Balor

Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Matt Riddle – Fight Pit match with Daniel Cormier as the special guest referee

Being a former MMA fighter, Riddle seems to have the upper hand while using the cage. Seth also seems to be creative on the platform of the pit. During closing moments Riddle dodges the stomp and hit an RKO. Seth rolls out and falls off the platform down the ring and Riddle took a flight on Seth with a broton. Riddle then grabbed Seth in a standing triangle choke making Seth Rollins tap out.

Winner : Matt Riddle

Return of Bray Wyatt

The night isn’t over at this time as the show goes off the lights go off and he has the entire world in his grasp put all through the field, the melody proceeds as the camera shoots to various parts of the Field showing different characters.
