WWE tries to do everything to impress their audience. The easiest way is to provide WWE dream match that fans want to see. But still, there are some WWE matches that never happened. There are some wrestlers who have never faced each other even though they are on the active roster at the same time.
Here we are going to discuss some WWE dream matches that never happened. And to make it practical we will consider only the possible matches that could have happened and will not make hypothetical match cards of wrestlers of different eras in their WWE career.
WWE dream match card
Triple H vs Braun Strowman

Both Triple H and Braun Strowman are assassins when it comes to wrestling. Both like to show their physical power during the match with the opponent. Being so alike these two never had a one on one match against each other.
The only physical action was seen between these two was on 19th November 2017 during a traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match, where Braun Strowman attacked Triple H after Triple H turned on his own team partner Kurt Angle.

Jeff Hardy vs Rey Mysterio

Being the face of WWE both Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio are loved by the WWE universe. Although these both have faced each other on a number of occasions, like in a fatal four-way match in 2009 on Jeff Hardy vs Rey Mysterio vs Chris Jerico vs Kane elimination match where Jeff Hardy took the win by pinning Rey Mysterio in the last.
WWE never wanted to book a one-on-one match between both face superstars as both are being appreciated by the fans. This adds the match card to the list of WWE matches that never happened for now.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Brock Lesnar

The beast Brock Lesnar only feuds with the man he wants in WWE but this was not the case in around 2004. Brock had conquered a number of legends in WWE but he never had a single match with the ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.
These two superstars had started some feud but it all ended in Wrestlemania twenty in a singles match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg where Stone Cold was the special guest referee.

Seth Rollins vs Jeff Hardy

Both the superstars are quite similar in physical action inside the WWE ring. The only match they both had in the same ring was in a triple threat Seth Rollins vs Jeff Hardy vs AJ Styles match on WWE draft on 12th October 2020 at Raw brand, Where AJ Styles took the win after the interference of Elias Samson. But they have faced each other in a one-on-one match. Therefore this dream match card also belongs to WWE matches that never happened.
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Goldberg

This was one of the dream matches many fans were interested in but it never took place. Both the superstars had similar physical appearances when it comes to their bald heads or facial beard.
Similar to Brock Lesnar, Goldberg only had interaction with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austine in Wrestlemania twenty where Stone Cold was the special guest Referee.
Bray Wyatt vs Brock Lesnar

After being assaulted and eliminated by the hand of the Wyatt family at Royal Rumble 2016, Bray Wyatt vs Brock Lesnar match was almost set to happen. But WWE changed the plans at the last moment and the singles match became a two-on-one handicap match where Brock Lesnar defeated Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper at WWE Roadblock PPV 2016.
This was another among WWE matches that never happened after being planned and almost set also. It was said that due to some Bray Wyatt’s injury this match was changed into a handicapped match with Bray Wyatt just standing ringside and watching both men wrestle.
Eddie Guerrero vs Christian

Both the superstar Eddie Guerrero and Christian had worked with WWE for a very long time but they never faced each other in a singles match. On WWE PPV Backlash 2001 these both superstars were in the same ring with Matt Hardy in a triple threat match where Matt Hardy retained his WWF European Championship.
John Cena vs Samoa Joe

This is another WWE dream match that never took place in WWE. Both John Cena and Samoa Joe are the powerhouses when it comes to strength. Both are having a submission maneuver, John Cena with STF (Stepover Toehold Facelock) and Samoa Joe with Kokina Clutch, which led them to win many big matches.
Being very popular in WWE they both never faced each other one-on-one. However on 21st August 2017 at Monday night Raw tag team action was seen between these two where John Cena and Roman Reigns took the victory over Samoa Joe and the Miz.

Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar

The biggest dream match for WWE fans is Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar. It would definitely be a money-making match for WWE when both of these giant forces collide with each other. Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar with both impressive records in MMA and UFC. The only one of the big reasons for Bobby Lashley returning to WWE is to have a match with Brock Lesnar.
It is interesting to note that these two never had any physical interaction inside the ring in any type of match whether it is Tag Team or Triple Threat & Fatal four-way match. This is the most demanding match among all the dream card matches of WWE matches that never happened.
Eddie Guerrero vs HBK – Shawn Michaels

Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels are among the top list of talented athletes in WWE but never had a singles match with each other. The match was almost set for Wrestlemania 22 in 2006 but this dream match could never happen as on 13th November 2005 Eddie had an acute heart failure which led him to his cause of death.
Then WWE changed the plan and Shawn Michaels vs Vince McMahon match took place at Wrestlemania 22 where Shawn took the victory.

Umaga vs The Undertaker
Undertaker had many great matches in his career but he had never faced The Samoan Bulldozer Umaga on Television. Umaga was one of the unstoppable forces during his re-debut in 2006. He took the win over many top superstars like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kane & John Cena.
On 22nd February 2009 during a WWE’s live event at Chile Umaga had a single match with The Phenom The Undertaker. The match was very much liked by the live crowd audience where Undertaker took the victory over Umaga using the Hell’s Gate making Umaga unconscious and unable to respond to referee’s calls.

Kane vs Brock Lesnar

Being in WWE together for almost two decades Kane and Brock Lesnar had never faced each other in a single match on television. Both are monsters of their time and fans would definitely enjoy watching them wrestle. On 28th January 2018 at Royal Rumble, both monsters collided with each other along with another monster Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat Match for the Universal Championship where Brock took the win pinning Kane.
These two however wrestled each other on a Chicago Live Event on 3rd March 2018 where Brock Lesnar took the easy win by delivering F-5 and pinning Kane.

Sting vs The Undertaker
The most respected superstar in the wrestling world is Sting and The Undertaker. Both have an evil dark character gimmick. This match card of ‘The Icon’ vs ‘The Phenom’ is a dream match for many fans and wrestling promotions but now since both are almost retired from the wrestling world, it seems like this dream match could not come to reality.
Long time before when Undertaker was not The Undertaker at WCW on 1st September 1990 at Greensboro Coliseum ‘The Sting’ had singles match with ‘Mean Mark Callous’ (The Undertaker) for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship where Sting took the victory after Mean Mark Callous tapped out to Stings Submission hold Sharpshooter (Scorpion death-lock).

HBK – Shawn Michaels vs The Rock

These both superstars had worked in WWE for many years but never had been in the ring with each other. It is said that The Rock was never interested in working with Shawn Michaels. According to rumors The Rock sees Shawn Michaels as an unprofessional wrestler.
The only interaction between these two was on 26th August 1999 at Smackdown in a The Rock vs Triple H match for the WWF championship where Shawn Michaels was the special guest referee. Triple H won the match as HBK delivered sweet chin music to the Rock. This Shawn Michaels kick hits The Rock so Hard that The Rock never wanted to work with him again.
Batista vs Brock Lesnar

Both Batista and Brock Lesnar are known to dominate their opponent inside the ring. But fans wanted to see when both these forces collided and who would dominate in the ring. Both superstars have a muscular physique and like to show their physical power. However, these two never had a singles match nor shared the ring with each other on the television. This dream card match was among the most demanding WWE matches that never happened.
However, when both these men were under the WWE training program on 28th September 2001 they faced each other in a single match in Ohio Valley wrestling. Both were impressive in the match however Brock dominated most of the match but lost to Batista due to the outside inference and getting attacked by Batista’s female ringside friend which the referee couldn’t see.

Conclusion
There are many dream match cards that have the possibility to still come into reality but some of the dream cards could not come to reality as these wrestlers are either retired or deceased.
